Abstract. Delforge, P.- Contribution to the stabilization of the nomenclature in the Ophrys fusca species group: designation of a neotypus for Ophrys fusca Link in Schrader 1800, Ophrys funerea Viviani 1824, Ophrys bilunulata Risso 1844 and Ophrys forestieri (Reichenbach fil. 1851) Lojacono 1909 [Natural. belges 80 (Orchid. 12) (1999): 179-229, 276]. Recent research on the systematics of the genus Ophrys, particularly the Ophrys fusca species group, has led to the recognition and the description of many new species, resulting, paradoxically, in confusions in nomenclature due to difficulties in making identification of species formerly and superficially described with taxa presently delimited. Ophrys fusca Link in Schrader 1800, Ophrys funerea Viviani 1824, Ophrys bilunulata Risso 1844 and Ophrys forestieri (Reichenbach fil. 1851) Lojacono 1909 are cases in point. Furthermore, types of those 4 species seem to be lost. To avoid the permanence of nomenclatural confusions, a neotype is choosen for each species, after carefull examination of the protologues and of the context of the original description.
