Abstract. Parent, G.H. - The role of the Crossbills, Loxia curvirostra, in the dispersion of neophytes, more particularly Orchids, in Coniferous plantations in Western Europe [Natural. belges 80 (Orchid. 12) (1999): 173-178]. The arguments given are based on geographical, ecological and chronological considerations. The author lays stress on the ethology of the Crossbills and examines the particular cases of several Orchidaceae and Pyrolaceae.
