Abstract. D.M.T. Ettlinger: The Occurrence of Orchis palustris s.l. in Crete and in the island of Kos (Dodecanese, Greece) [Natural. belges 77 (Orchid. 9) (1996): 111-118]. The three recorded sites for Orchis palustris s.l. in Crete were re‑visited in 1995 and are compared with a site found in 1985 in Kos. It is concluded that the taxon is extinct at one Cretan site, probably extinct at the second and may never have existed at the third. The exact taxonomic status of the Cretan and Koan plants is left undecided.
